MADRID, 16 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ministry of Culture has summoned the Velázquez Prize for Plastic Arts corresponding to the year 2021 and endowed with 100.000 euros, as published in the Official State Gazette (BOE). In its last edition, the award was awarded to the Valencian painter Soledad Seville.

The award is intended to recognize the entirety of the work of a creator in the field of plastic arts in any of its manifestations. Spanish artists and artists from the states that make up the Ibero-American community may be candidates for the distinction.

The candidatures may be presented by the Academies of Fine Arts, the Museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, the associations of art critics, the authors awarded in previous calls and the members of the jury. The deadline for submitting applications is 15 business days.
