Sometimes the inspiration for a book from real life arises.
Crime writer Anna Grue can sign it with her upcoming book ‘The Key to Murder’, which is the third independent book in the series about the curious early retiree Anne-Maj Mortensen.
In a video on her Instagram profile, the author reveals that she once took a real estate agent who had sex in her house on fresh deed.
– ‘The key to murder’ is inspired very directly by an experience I myself have had in my own life. My husband and I have bought and sold a lot of properties many times over time because I am such a nomad type who likes to decorate new homes, says 64-year-old Grue and continues:
– Several years ago, something that did not happen happened that I entered the home we had and revealed the real estate agent, who was having sex with a young woman who was certainly not his wife, she continues.
The story lives on in me
The crime writer subsequently became furious and immediately terminated the contract.
She can also reveal to Ekstra Bladet that it had consequences for the daring broker.
‘The broker was expelled, the chain’s CEO was shocked and the police issued a fine. The home has been sold to nice people who have no idea about the back story, ‘Anna Grue writes in a message without wanting to go into depth with further details.
However, she says that the story has lived on in her for several years, and at one point it just had to come out.
It became so now.
– And then of course I have completely rewritten it and made the drama bigger than it really was, but it is the one that is the basis for ‘The Key to Murder’, she says in the video.
Anna Grue made her big breakthrough with the crime novels about Dan Sommerdahl, which in 2020 was filmed with Peter Mygind in the lead role.
She has also participated in the judging panel in ‘The Taste Judges’ on DR2.
