The General Society of Authors and Editors (SGAE) has organized the exhibition ‘Culture, reflection of all’, which will take place from June 25 to July 4 at its headquarters in Madrid on the occasion of the celebration of International Pride Day and in which artists such as Los Javis, Putochinomaricón O Dear.
The sample contains a selection of authors from different artistic disciplines. Specifically, the directors Antonio Hens, with his film ‘La parte’, and Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, with the series ‘Veneno’; the playwright Carmen Losa, with her text ‘Levante’; the creator Mónica Runde, with her choreography ‘c33 And Other Tales’; and the musicians Putochinomaricón, with their song ‘El test de la Bravo y la Superpop’; Rocío Saiz, with ‘Self-censorship’; Samantha Hudson, with ‘Disco jetlag’, and the group Cariño, with ‘Bisexual’.
All of them have selflessly collaborated in this initiative that “seeks to banish prejudices of a sexual nature in Spanish society“In practice, the interior garden and the galleries of the Longoria Palace will host theatrical fragments, audiovisual projections, song lyrics, choreographies and photographs, which will show how culture has made the LGTBIQ + collective visible in recent times.
Throughout the tour, through a QR code, you will be able to hear the testimonies of the participating authors who will explain – in first person – what reasons they had in their day to create the works on display. The public will be able to visit the exhibition from Monday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 20:00.
