Die British pop group Oasis expands its already sold-out comeback tour next year for two concerts in London. Due to the “phenomenal demand”, two additional shows at Wembley Stadium, the band explained on Wednesday in the online service X. Accordingly, the additional concerts for the 27 and 28 September 2025 set.
The band, founded in 1991 in Manchester in the north-west of England, is considered a co-founder of the Britpop era, their records with hits such as “Wonderwall” and „Don’t Look Back In Anger“ sold millions of copies.
The two Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher had settled their dispute last week after 15 years and planned a joint world tour for 2025 with an initial 14 performances in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
It was also said that performances in “continents outside Europe” were planned for later in the year. Two days later, the brothers announced three more concerts in Manchester, London and Edinburgh.
The Concert sales began on August 31st at 10:00 a.m. (CEST) – all tickets were sold out after a short time.
Previously, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had also criticized the ticket chaos for Oasis’ upcoming comeback tour. “It’s great that Oasis are back together,” Starmer said in Parliament in London.
“From what I’ve heard, probably half the country was waiting for tickets over the weekend. But it’s depressing to hear about price increases.” He wants to put fans back at the center of the music and stop the resale of tickets at extortionate prices.
An issue that Brussels also has on its radar. Dynamic pricing is in principle compatible with EU law, as the EU Commission emphasizes. However, it is important that consumers are adequately informed about the total price. However, if prices are increased during the booking process, this could, under certain circumstances, violate the Directive on Unfair Commercial Practices.
