Tuyen QuangAfter going to a spa to inject solution into the abdomen to dissolve fat, the 35-year-old woman experienced painful swelling and dense pus, causing an abscess.
On October 31, Doctor Nguyen Minh Nghia, Department of Plastic Surgery, Hoe Nhai General Hospital, Lecturer at Hanoi Medical University, said the patient came for examination in a state of confusion and fear.
The woman is 1.55 meters tall, weighs 75 kg, and gained uncontrolled weight after giving birth. Hearing the introduction of a non-invasive weight loss method, with just one injection, the fat will automatically liquefy, the belly will shrink so the patient goes to a spa facility to have it done. However, one week after injection, the abdominal area had complications, dense pus appeared, swelling, and pain.
Doctor Nghia diagnosed the patient with abdominal abscess after fat-dissolving injection, sequelae of bulging and sclerosis in the lower abdomen. The doctor performs liposuction, creates an abdominal shape, cuts all the lower abdominal fat skin along with cutting all the old scars and fibroids in the abdominal area, then stretches the skin of the abdominal wall. After surgery, the patient’s health is stable.
Doctors advise people to carefully research the types of drugs injected into the body, especially paying attention to performing this technique at a licensed medical facility. When accidents or complications occur, you need to go to the hospital immediately for treatment to avoid health effects and future sequelae.
In principle, scientific diet and exercise are the main factors that create a calorie deficit for the body and lose weight. Safe weight loss is a maximum of 5% of body weight per month.
