Israel will deliver to the Palestinian Authority in the coming days 1.2 million vaccines against Corona of the Pfizer company, which expires soon, it was agreed today (Friday). The outline was approved in accordance with the recommendation of the relevant bodies and after receiving all the required approvals. In addition, the approval was received in light of the fact that the stock of vaccines held by Israel meets all the needs today.
In exchange for the vaccines that will be delivered, Israel will receive the same amount of new vaccine doses from Pfizer during the months of September-October 2021, at the expense of the shipment intended for the Authority, in order to ensure that there is no shortage of vaccines in Israel.
“The delivery of the vaccines in question is too little and arrives considerably late. Instead of taking responsibility and providing vaccines without delay to the entire population and without unnecessary consideration, Israel conducts a trade in sales around the lives and health of millions of people,” said Ghada Jadla of the Physicians for Human Rights.
“Israel has a moral and legal obligation under international law to ensure the health of residents in the territories under its control. The fact that Israel has so far delivered only a few vaccines is a sign of disgrace and a disgraceful disclaimer.
According to data from the past day, there are currently 3,584 verified patients in the Palestinian Authority. The hospitals in Judea and Samaria are hospitalized with 15 patients – nine of them in critical condition and two respirators – and 2,300 tests were performed that day. In Gaza, there are 65 patients in the hospitals, 38 of them in critical and humane condition.
