Israel will serve as the venue for the World Health Organization meeting for the first time

The 72nd annual session of the European Regional Conference of the World Health Organization will be held this week in Israel for the first time. The three-day WHO conference will begin in Tel Aviv tomorrow (Monday). President Herzog, 25 health ministers, and more than 50 heads of health systems from European nations will participate. Nitzan Horowitz, the minister of health, will sign agreements for cooperation in the areas of health with Germany, Croatia, Cyprus, and Kazakhstan during the conference.

There will be several sessions at the conference that deal with public health in the region, health emergencies, opportunities to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of health, and more. The conference will explore a shared work plan to enhance health in Europe. The conference will cover a wide range of subjects, including access to medications, behavioral and cultural health promotion, and digital health.

The World Health Organization’s important meeting will be held in Israel for the first time, which causes Horowitz considerable joy. The WHO meeting in Israel provides an opportunity to further fortify our relations to the international community, the World Health Organization, and European nations. The international conference in Israel is a major boost for all participating nations’ health services, but much more so for the development of the Israeli health system.
