CEO of Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, Roni Gamzoannounced today (Wednesday) in a letter to hospital employees that he is expected to retire from his position but will remain at the hospital and move to another position that will assist in the development of Ichilov.
“About twenty years ago, I joined the hospital’s management as Vice President of Economics, and since then I have focused on establishing a standard of strategic management,” Gamzo wrote in his letter, “Today, Ichilov is one of the organizations managed by professional standards at the highest and highest quality level. Seven years ago, I replaced Prof. Gabi Barbash as CEO “To the hospital and continued to emphasize excellence and empathetic service. Thanks to your professional work, we are the number 1 health organization in Israel and one of the most prominent in the world in its field.”
“In the last few weeks, my heart has been rewarded with a decision to vacate the position of CEO of the hospital and allow a new and groundbreaking leadership to manage the hospital in the face of the challenges of the future,” he added, “I think that inspiring public leadership is measured by the ability to give your place to the next generation even when you feel powerful , comfort and security in your position. Precisely then a leader is required to allow continuity, renewal and strengthening while refreshing the management style.”
In conclusion, Gamzo stated: “I do not intend to leave Ichilov, but to move to a position similar to that of the chairman, and to engage in the development of the hospital, the strengthening of the subsidiaries, the promotion of innovation and investments in tech-health, the development of international activity and assistance in obtaining the sources for continued structural development together with the association the friends”.
