Want to keep your teeth healthy? These are the foods you should eat

Sore throats can be particularly annoying when activities such as eating and drinking become complex. Therefore, we must be alert to this in time even only when the initial pain begins. So which types are recommended to stay away from to increase the chances of recovering quickly?

Crispy snacks

Chips, crackers and other foods may feel sharp when swallowed and cause more pain and irritation. The jagged edges of these foods can penetrate an already sore throat making it a pain in the ass. Softer foods tend to do better with a sore throat. But if crackers are all you want while sick, you can always dip them in hot tea to soften them.

Citrus fruits

Citrus fruits are loaded with vitamin C, which is great when you’re sick. However, the acidity of fresh fruits such as oranges, lemons and limes increases the tickling in the throat, so it is best to avoid them until the sore throat subsides. Juices and smoothies made from citrus fruits can also cause annoying tickling, so it is better to avoid them. On the other hand, it is recommended to squeeze citrus fruits into tea or plain hot water with honey to soothe a sore throat.

Acidic foods

Just like citrus fruits, acidic foods like tomato sauce can cause throat discomfort. If so, they should be temporarily avoided until the pain subsides.

spicy food

These types of foods may cause irritation of the inflamed area of the throat or further irritate the throat. So if you are a spicy lover, you will have to avoid the sauces a little, until the pain goes away.

raw vegetables

Carrots and celery are definitely healthy, but their harshness can be disturbing in the irritated throat area. On the other hand, you can enjoy cooked or mashed vegetables such as mashed potatoes when sick.

Fried Food

Although fried food may be comforting when you’re sick, the rough coating may irritate your sore throat. Therefore, you should stay away from them until the symptoms disappear.
