One bright day felt Happiness Bokobza, 43 years old, married and a father of two, from Mevaseret Zion, pains in the head and eyes and felt that his body was leaning to the left. “It lit a red light for me and it dragged on for many days,” he says. “I came to the emergency room when I was already really biased. I work in the medical records department of Hadassah Ein Kerem, and also a professional drummer and drummer and mountain bike rider every day, and I just felt like my body was going through something, I could not do these things normally. I imagined what became clear later. “

“Oshri had a benign tumor in the brainstem. It is a fairly rare tumor that must be operated on very quickly because it causes pressure on the cerebellum,” explains Dr. Samuel Moskvisi, a senior physician in the Department of Neurosurgery and a specialist in skull and brain endoscopy, who operated on Oshri.

Oshri as stated did not initially understand the severity of the situation. “The Saturday before I was still climbing mountains, and suddenly, three days later, I was in an operating room. I felt a block fall on my head,” says Oshri, adding that he connected with the medical staff and especially the surgeon. “We found that we had a lot of common interests, including off-road biking. We even arranged to ride together when I recovered and get full permission to return to the sport I love.”

Now, after almost a year of intensive rehabilitation, Oshri went out into the field with Dr. Muscovisi for a triumphant ride. “Obviously, you don’t see that much.”

Oshri: “The moment Dr. Moskvisi told me the sentence ‘Come on, when are you riding?’ Was really powerful for me. I did not think I would return to riding, and Samuel just pushed me forward. I received my Hanukkah miracle this year. ”
