Israel: Traces of milk protein found in honey “Yad Mordechai” from wild flowers

Yad Mordechai and the Ministry of Health are asking people suffering from allergies, as well as those who keep kosher, not to eat Yad Mordechai honey from wildflowers.

The warning applies to honey in any packaging with an expiration date between 01/02/2025 and 04/14/2025.

When tested in a laboratory following complaints from consumers with milk allergies, microparticles of milk protein were found in honey. The company claims that the protein was contained in honey of foreign origin, which is mixed with Israeli honey. The company is recalling products from stores to be labeled “may contain milk.”
