On its International Day, what did health provide for hemophilia patients?

Announced by Ministry of Health and Populatio nProviding medical services for hemophilia patients in all government hospitals and specialized centers in blood diseases at the level of the Republic.

This comes in conjunction with the World Hemophilia Day, April 17 of each year, and the Ministry organized several events, in cooperation with the “Pfizer” company, that included lighting the Cairo Tower in red, while organizing a celebration for children with hemophilia patients in Al-Azhar Park In addition to educating children’s families on how to deal with the disease, as part of the ministry’s efforts to achieve the 2030 sustainable development plan.

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the ministry pays special attention to blood diseases by expanding the number of hematology committees, which reached 18 committees, in addition to the treatment centers for blood patients in various governorates, which include specialized clinics in all governorates. It is supervised by a number of consultants and professors.

Abdul Ghaffar pointed out that General Authority For Health Insurance The first center for the treatment and care of hemophilia patients was opened at Children of Egypt Hospital in 2018, and it includes an integrated medical team that applies the latest diagnostic, preventive and treatment protocols, for the benefit of hemophilia patients.

He pointed to the organization of continuous training and educational programs for all workers in the hemophilia treatment center at Children of Egypt Hospital, with the center equipped with an integrated hemophilia laboratory, which includes blood coagulation rate measurement devices, as well as an electronic system for managing hemophilia patients’ databases in Egypt.
