In April 2022, there were 24% fewer COVID – 19 victims in Israel than in March

According to reports published by the Ministry of Health, 213 people became victims of COVID-19 in Israel in the last month (April 2022). This is 24% less than it was in March 2022. That is, the so-called “sixth wave of the epidemic” was not accompanied by an increase in deaths from coronavirus.

For comparison, in March 2022, 281 people died from coronavirus in Israel, in February – 1400 people, in January 2022 – 560 people, in December 2021 – 47 people, in November 2021 – 96 people, in October 2021 th – 339 people, in September 2021 – 679 people, in August 2021 – 608, in July 2021 – 45, in June 2021 – 17, in May 2021 – 49, in April 2021 th – 149, in March 2021 – 457, in February 2021 – 966, in January 2021 – 1458, in December 2020 – 473, in November 2020 – 342, in October 2020 – 968, in September 2020 – 625, in August 2020 – 423, in July 2020 – 203, in June 2020 – 35, in May 2020 – 62, in April 2020 – 198 .

Relative mortality from coronavirus in Israel: 1147 per 1 million population (85th in the world). Lethality (the ratio of the number of deaths to the total number of infected) – 0.25%. On average, the global mortality rate of the coronavirus pandemic is 1.2%.
