Belgrade will host the European Water Polo Championship 2026.

Belgrade will host the European Firefighting Championship 2026, the LEN Bureau decided today at a meeting in Cascais.

LEN also decided today that the host of the European Championship in 2024 will be Tel Aviv.

LEN emphasized that the previous European Championship in Belgrade in 2016 was “very successful” and that a new “spectacle” is expected in Belgrade after 10 years.

As in 2016, this European Championship will be held in the Belgrade Arena.

At the European Championship in 2016, the largest visit in the history of water sports was recorded. The final match between Serbia and Montenegro was attended by 18,473 fans.
