Handball – HSV separates from managing director Frecke

Sebastian Frecke is no longer managing director of HSV Hamburg. As the handball Bundesliga team announced, the club and the 38-year-old are going their separate ways with immediate effect. Frecke worked for HSVH for a good ten years and played a key role in the restart of the Hamburg handball team after bankruptcy and forced relegation in 2016. “The ten years here at HSVH were a very formative and wonderful time for me,” Frecke was quoted as saying in a club statement. However, the 38-year-old has recently come under criticism. The Hamburg team only received the license for the current season after an arbitration court decision.
