Alcaraz signs an express victory and is already in the Beijing quarterfinals

The Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Beijing tournament, in the ATP 500 category and played on hard courts, after beating the Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor this Sunday by fast track (6-1, 6-2), and Russian Karen Khachanov will be his rival in the next round.

On the center court of the Chinese capital and in a match played indoors, the Murcian showed his good feelings early on, which were also accompanied by the unforced errors of his opponent, who gave up after 56 minutes of suffering against the number three in the world.

Two breaks in their first games put them 5-0 ahead, and although Griekspoor managed to stop the bleeding, he could do nothing for the man from El Palmar, with his serve, to close the first set in just 24 minutes.

Already in the second set, the Spaniard had to wait until the third game to break his rival’s serve and link five consecutive games. With 5-1 and the rest, he wasted a match point and the Dutchman breathed, but he did not fail in the next one to make it 6-2 and seal his victory.

Now, Alcaraz will face the Russian Karen Khachanov in his quarterfinal duel, who defeated the Argentine Francisco Cerúndolo this Sunday in a two-set match that both had to be resolved in the tie-break (7-6(4 ), 7-6(9)).
