Between Empoli and Fiorentina an emotionless draw

Empoli and Fiorentina play an uninspiring match and close the Tuscan derby with one point each. Few chances were recorded by both sides in this 0-0 draw, with the goalkeepers effectively not paying spectators on the occasion. After less than 3 minutes, Pezzella delivers a treacherous cross on the left which Ismajli narrowly misses. Viola often breaks down the right with Dodò and, on the half hour mark, his cross lands on the head of Colpani who, however, misses the ball from a good position, with the ball ending wide wide. An unexciting first half ends goalless.

The ranking now sees Empoli – the only unbeaten team in Serie A together with Juventus – rising to 10 in the company of Napoli, Lazio and Udinese, with a 3 point advantage over Fiorentina.
