Hapoel Haifa announced today (Thursday) the addition of stopper Ali Kiel, who signed a contract for one season with an option for another season. Kiel, who will soon be celebrating 26, has been training with the Haifa team in recent weeks and has impressed the professional team led by Elisha Levy. Last season he played for Hapoel Acre.

Kiel, who grew up in the Julis Sports Club, joined the youth team of Hapoel Nof Hagalil in the 2013/14 season and from there he rose to the seniors. He started his career in the Betar Nahariya uniform in the first division, until he moved to Hapoel Acre last year.

Now he is upgrading again and “rising a grade” to a more senior league, hoping to strengthen the defensive part of Hapoel Haifa, which as mentioned will lose Louis Taha to a serious injury.
