The Red Star beat Partizan and took the lead in the final series

The Red Star basketball players won tonight as hosts Partizan with 90:76 (19:23, 23:16, 24:19, 24:18), in the first match of the final series of the regional ABA league.

The best at Zvezda were Nikola Ivanović with 18 and Luka Mitrović and Ognjen Dobrić with 14 points each. Nate Walters scored 11 and Dejan Davidovac 10 points.

The most efficient for Partizan were Kevin Panther with 15, Dallas Moore with 12, Zack Ledej with 11 and Aleksa Avramović with 10 points.

The star reached the victory thanks to an excellent shot for three points 11/23. The red and whites also had 24 assists against eight Partizan players, as well as nine turnovers less than Partizan.

At the start of the match, basket for basket was played. Zvezda reached plus five in the middle of the first half, thanks to the good role of Ognjen Kuzmić. Partizan answered, and with three three-pointers they managed to reverse the result, and went to the first break with a four-point advantage.

Partizan started the second third with a triple by Ledej and managed to break away to plus seven. After that, Panetr and Ledej missed open shots, which Zvezda, with two tied triples by Dobrić, used and managed to fully return to the match 28:28.

By the end of the half, there was an even fight. The red and whites reached plus five on several occasions, but they did not manage to break away. Zvezda took the lead of 42:39 at the end of the half mostly thanks to a shot for three points. The star hit five three-pointers from six attempts in the second half.

The best at Zvezda in the first half was Dejan Davidovac with 10 points and three rebounds, while on the other hand, Aleksa Avramović scored 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.

The star entered the continuation of the match much better, and with a series of 8: 0, managed to reach a double-digit advantage of 50:31. The star reached a double-digit advantage thanks to the excellent section of Ognjen Dobrić, who managed to tie eight points, along with two three-pointers.

Thanks to a good game in attack and excellent ball control, Zvezda managed to keep the advantage, and entered the last section with an eight-point advantage of 66:58.

Zvezda entered the last section with a series of 4: 0 and reached plus 12, but Partizan managed to halve the advantage thanks to two tied threes by Dallas Moore. After the time-out of the coach of Zvezda, Dejan Radonjić, Nikola Ivanović hit two tied threes and returned the advantage of Zvezda to plus 10.

By the end of the match, primarily thanks to a good game in defense, the red and whites managed to maintain the advantage without any major problems and reach the lead in the final series.

The next match of the series, in which Zvezda will be the host again, is on the program on Sunday, May 29, at 8 p.m.
