Super Bowl, comics and family: the new life of Nikola Karabatic, “super happy” retiree

With 72 titles gleaned throughout an extraordinary career spanning more than a quarter of a century, he has put the jersey away for good on a hanger. At 40, the (very likely) best player of all time is retired and happily enjoying the delights of a normal family life. “I have dedicated more than thirty years of my life to handball and competition to try to be the best. It was a non-stop quest. I moved into a second life without her, with just the desire to have fun with my darling Géraldine, my children, my brother Loulou (Luka)my mother, my family. I love my life. I’m super happy,” he enthuses.
