In the Serbian team, the most efficient were Marko Podrascanin with 13 points, Uros Kovacevic with 11 and Aleksandar Atanasijevic with 10.
Italy was led by Alessandro Micheleto with 21 points. Giulio Pinali and Gianluca Galasi scored 12 points each.
Italy was better for most of the game, except in the third set when the Serbian team managed to reduce the gap with great fighting spirit. However, Italy took the lead with 5: 0 at the beginning of the fourth set, after that they played safely and advanced to the finals.
Serbia will play against the host Poland in the bronze medal match on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
Italy will play against Slovenia in the final at 20.30.
