The Winner’s Cup semi.final games open tonight (Thursday) at Drive.In, in a game in which Hapoel Holon meets Hapoel Eilat. The Purples come into the game after the 80:89 victory in the quarterfinals over Hapoel Tel Aviv, while Eilat defeated Hapoel Haifa 79:94 in the previous stage. The one of the two will meet the winner in the second semi.final, which will be held on Friday at noon, to which only Hapoel Jerusalem has meanwhile qualified. The final game will be held this coming Sunday.
Hapoel Holon has qualified for the Winner’s Cup final twice to date, while the Southerners have done it once, both teams lost in the final to Maccabi Tel Aviv. As you may recall, Mauricio Buscalia’s side have yet to lose a pre.season game.
