The Football Executive of Coritiba Jorge Andrade, sees the white thigh cast prepared for Serie B. In a news conference at Couto Pereira, this Thursday (13), he promised the club’s access and the return to the elite in 2026.
“We need to take the first step, and the first step is to win again. We will work, are working and need to take the first step, win again. And the second step is to return to Serie A, our goal of the year.”he said.

“And we will achieve, yes, the biggest goal that is Serie A. We have athletes for that, we will be among the four, we are able to do that. They came athletes who are winners, competitive and will give us sustainability for it.”
The interview came after Coxa was eliminated at the Brazilian Cup by Ceilândia, and the Paraná Championship, by Maringá. Now the cast will have four free weeks until the debut in Serie B against Vila Nova on the first weekend of April.
Among training, Alviverde will still play two friendlies, against Botafogo and against Santos, this weekend.

Coritiba hired 14 players so far, most of them played the state, and two arrived for Serie B. The last was midfielder Carlos de Pena, Uruguayan, who had tickets to Internacional and Bahia. He has not yet joined the cast and does medical examinations in the capital of Paraná.
Jorge Andrade believes that the thigh-white cast is strong for the second dispute. He also spoke of future market opportunities.
“We are extremely outraged by the result, both board, SAF, players and coaching staff. We believe a lot about the work done, what we need now is to work hard. The fans are very suffering, we have the mission and objective to turn this key,” he said.
“Our squad is very competitive for Serie B, I believe. The squad for a season is organic, there are many exits and entries. And right now, the window is limited, but the club is aware and may have opportunities for players in another clubs, “he amended.
