Maccabi Tel Aviv hopes that the upcoming Euroleague season will brighten its face much more than in previous years. The Yellows have yet to advance to the playoffs in the current format of the plant (since 2016), and even what emerged as a peak season in 2019/20 was discontinued due to the Corona virus.

The renewed squad of Yannis Sapropoulos managed to lift the Winner’s Cup despite the shaky preparation for the season, but already tomorrow (Thursday, 21:05) a first hurdle awaits him, in the form of Bayern Munich.

Do the Yellows have enough tools to interrupt the playoffs? The “Eurohops” published today the first power meter of the season and placed the Yellows in eighth place in the Euroleague.

The Yellows received a score of 8 on the quality of the staff, a score of 7 on the chemistry in the team, 8 on its current status, 8 on the signings in the summer and 7 on its potential to go far this season.

“Maccabi Tel Aviv is aiming very high, and it is possible that the American acquisition it made in the summer will end its wait for promotion to the playoffs,” the website stated.

The top five consists of Real Madrid, Fenerbahce, CSKA, Barcelona and Anadolu Efes – which received a total score of 45 points.
