Jovanović is the new coach of Crvena zvezda basketball players

Basketball club Crvena confirmed today that the new coach of that club is Vladimir Jovanović, former coach of Cibona and FMP. The former assistant coach of the A national team of Serbia and the current coach of the national team for players under the age of 20, signed a three-year contract with Crvena Zvezda. He will replace Dejan Radonjic, who moved to Panathinaikos, on the red and white bench.

This 38-year-old coach made his first coaching steps as the coach of the younger selections of Crvena zvezda in 2012, then worked as the first coach of FMP for three seasons, before moving from Železnik to Cibona.

In 2019, he was promoted to one of the assistant coaches of the A national team of Serbia under the leadership of Igor Kokoškov, and he is currently the coach of the national team for players under 20 years of age. He has been in that position since December 2021.

Zvezda stated that the new coach’s coaching staff currently includes Marko Simonović as the first assistant and Miodrag Dinić, as well as that the public will be informed about the other members of the coaching staff in a timely manner.

Nebojsa Ilić will be the general manager of the Crvena zvezda first team next season, the club from Mali Kalemegdan announced.
