New assignment for Chiellini, elected FIGC councilor

He will work alongside Giuseppe Marotta, president of Inter, and Stefano Campoccia, vice-president of Udinese

Giorgio Chiellini was elected FIGC councilor during the Lega Serie A Assembly today in Lissone. Chiellini, Director of Football Strategy of Juventus, is the third appointed councilor of the top professional league within the Federal Council and will join Giuseppe Marotta, president of Inter, and Stefano Campoccia, vice president of Udinese.

During the voting, Chiellini had 12 preferences. Three votes went to Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali, 2 to Lecce president Saverio Sticchi Damiani. Three blank ballots.
