Sinner’s dribbling with his feet drives fans crazy

Crowd of arms raised, crazy cell phones in photo/video mode, applause and great enthusiasm for training Jannik Sinner on the Sevastopol field of Atp Finalsadjacent to the central field ofInalpi Arena on which theSouth Tyrolean continues to beat him up current opponents (from last year he didn’t lose a single set).

Children who try to sneak in among the people crowded on the sidelines, journalists who curse because “they are there to work”, elderly ladies who ask “Please, young man, can I have a look?”. Someone decides to look up at the immense mirror with the writing Nitto Atp Finals which reflects the playing field. Maybe just to see if the Sinner’s ball runs like a bazooka shot even up there.

The Red Knight in action

And on the field, what in Rome was renamed the ‘Cavalier Roscius‘, he doesn’t seem to see or hear anything. He hits with the usual powertrial straight, reverse, joke, smash, stolen… Then he rests on the chair on the sidelines for a few minutes while Durren Cahill e Simone Vagnozzi they confabulate (perhaps there is aimperceptible defect to be corrected).

Sinner’s magic touch. Not just racket

He doesn’t seem to notice the fans, but then something proves otherwise. Jannik appears glacialbut it is still a 24 year old boy and for this, training with many people cheering a few meters away, he hears the warmth of the audience and takes out a unexpected spectacular shot. He doesn’t do it with the racket as one might obviously expect, but with the feet. A ball rolls slowly towards him and Jannik shows that he knows how to do a lot with his feet too: with his left foot he kicks the ball onto his right foot and raises it high, then hits it with his head and passes it to Vagnozzi who ‘saves’. A technical gesture which sends the public more than one straight razor).
