Ilia Topuria will not fight in the first quarter of 2026

The Spanish-Georgian fighter Ilia Topuria has announced that he will “not” fight “in the first quarter” of 2026 because he is going through “a difficult time” in his “personal life” and that he intends to focus on his family, as well as “resolving this situation as soon as possible.”

“I will not fight in the first quarter of next year. I am going through a difficult time in my personal life. I want to focus on my children and resolve this situation as soon as possible,” Topuria said this Thursday on his X social network account.

“I do not want to delay the division. The UFC will organize the necessary fights and, as soon as the matter is resolved, I will inform you that I am ready for my return,” Topuria concluded the brief message.
