The first quarter was played fast, and the teams scored points in the series. First, the black and whites took the lead with 7: 2, Hamburg turned it around to 8: 7, and then Partizan, thanks to Panther, reached 16:10.
The home team fought back again and after two tied triples, Homsley took the lead with 20:16, but Zeljko Obradovic’s team still managed to go to the first break with an advantage of 28:24.
With a great game in defense and the role of Madara, which was followed by Moore with two three-pointers, Partizan reached plus 11 (39:28) at the beginning of the second. That advantage of the black and whites continued to grow, so after the triples of Mura and Dangubić, two minutes before the end, it was plus 22 (55:33).
The black and whites went on a big break with a 21-point advantage (61:40), and the most deserving for that were Panther with 19 and Madar and Moore with 11 points each.
In the third quarter, the Belgrade team had a 28-point surplus on their account and in the continuation, with occasional problems, they managed to keep the advantage despite the fact that Hamburg approached the single-digit difference a little less than two minutes before the end.
Partizan will meet Tur Telekom in the second round of the Eurocup, while before that they will host Krk in the ABA league.
