The Partizan players were defeated tonight at home by Ghent with 0: 1, in the match of the third round of Group B of the Conference League. The only goal in the match was scored by Sven Kooms in the 59th minute.

Ghent is now first on the table of Group B with a maximum of nine points, Partizan is second with six, while Flora and Anorthosis have one point each.

The first shot towards the goal was made by the Belgian team, when in the 16th minute, Laurent Depotra’s shot from the penalty area went over the goal.

Partizan had the best opportunity in the first half in the 21st minute, Quincy Menig assisted in the middle, and Ricardo Gomes shot from the edge of the penalty area next to the goal.

By the end of the half, both teams did not manage to get a more concrete chance, and the result remained unchanged.

The black and whites were the first to threaten in the continuation of the match, Menig threw the ball, and Bibras Natho shot over the goal from the penalty spot in the 54th minute.

Then followed the offensive of the guests, which was crowned with a goal by Kums in the 59th minute, who, after a corner, overcame Partizan goalkeeper Aleksandar Popović with a five-meter header.

In the next minute, Popović defended the shot from a free kick by Vadis Odidja-Ofoe with his fingertips.

Partizan tried to equalize in the continuation, and Igor Vujacic had the best opportunity in the 87th minute, when Ghent goalkeeper Sinan Bolat caught his shot from more than 30 meters, and the ball then hit the crossbar.

The match at the Partizan stadium was attended by almost 10,000 fans.

Earlier today in Group B, Cypriot Anorthosis and Flora from Tallinn drew 2: 2.

The two teams will meet in Belgium on November 4, within the fourth round of Group B of the Conference League, while Flora from Tallinn will meet Anorthosis on the same day.
