Danish world champions to be celebrated
The newly crowned Danish dressage world champions will be celebrated on Friday with pancakes at Copenhagen’s Town Hall

The four Danish dressage riders Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, Nanna Merrald Rasmussen, Carina Cassøe Krüth and Daniel Bachmann Andersen became world champions at the WC dressage in Herning on Sunday.

In the end, the team competition was a showdown between Denmark and Germany, and here the four Danes drew the longest straw.

On Friday, the four riders can then look forward to enjoying the famous city hall pancakes when they are celebrated at Copenhagen City Hall.

This is confirmed by the Department of Culture and Leisure at Copenhagen City Hall opposite Ekstra Bladet.

– On Friday at 1:30 p.m., the Mayor of Culture and Leisure, Mia Nyegaard, will host the reception of the world champions at Copenhagen City Hall, says a spokesperson for the Culture and Leisure Administration to Ekstra Bladet.

At the event, the Mayor of Culture and Leisure, Mia Nyegaard, will give a speech for the newly crowned world champions.

The world champions thus follow the tradition where great Danish sporting achievements are celebrated with a trip to Copenhagen’s Town Hall.

In the past, FC Copenhagen, Jonas Vingegaard and the Danish EC heroes in ’92 have been celebrated with pancakes at the town hall.

Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour finally secured Danish gold when she scored 81.864 points on the horse Vamos Amigos.

It was the best of all in the competition, and enough so that German Frederic Wandres could not surpass the Danish score.

Great Britain and Germany took silver and bronze in the team competition, and with the Danish World Cup victory, Denmark is guaranteed a place at the Olympics in Paris in 2024.
