The Arsenal players qualified for the quarterfinals of the League Cup tonight, as they beat Leeds 2-0 at home.

Arsenal took the lead with a goal by Calum Chambers in the 55th minute, and the victory was secured by Edward Nkety with a goal in the 69th minute.

Chelsea advanced to the quarterfinals with a victory at home against Southampton, after taking penalties 4: 3, after it was 1: 1 in the regular season.

Chelsea took the lead in the 44th minute when the scorer was Kay Haverz, and Che Adams equalized in the 47th minute. After that, there was no change in the result, so penalties were taken.

Goals for Chelsea were scored by Marcos Alonso, Calum Hudson-Odoy, Ben Chillwell and the scorer of the winning goal, Reese James. The Southampton goalkeeper defended Mason Mount’s shot in the second series.

The scorers in the Southampton team were Adam Armstrong, Shane Long and Oriol Romeu.
Theo Walcott hit the post in the second series, and Will Smallbone shot over the goal in the fourth series.

The Sunderland players advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Queens Park Rangers 3: 1 after taking penalties on the away field. It was 0: 0 in the regular season in London.

This is Sunderland’s first placement in the quarterfinals of the League Cup, since the team played in the final in 2014.

The draw for the quarterfinals will take place on Saturday.

The quarterfinal matches are scheduled for December 21 and 22.
