The Dutch players secured a place in the eighth finals of the European Championship, as they beat the Austrian team 2-0 in Amsterdam tonight, in the game of the second round of Group C.

The scorers for the winning team at the “Johan Cruyff Arena” were Memphis Depay in the 11th minute from the penalty spot and Denzel Dumfries in the 67th minute.

The Netherlands now has six points, Ukraine and Austria three each, while Northern Macedonia has no points.

The Netherlands took the lead in the 11th minute with a goal by Depay from the penalty spot. Earlier, David Alaba stepped on Dumfries on the edge of the penalty area, so that the referee could point to the white dot after watching the video.

After that, there was no great excitement at the “Johan Cruyff Arena” until the end of the half when Depaj and Giorgio Vajnaldum missed a good chance to double the advantage of the Netherlands.

The question of the winner of this match was resolved in the 67th minute after the Dutch counterattack. Depay sent the ball brilliantly to Malen, who escaped the offside trap and then hired Dumfries, who had no difficulty shaking the Austrian net.

Earlier today, Ukraine beat Northern Macedonia 2: 1 in the same group.

In the third round of Group C, Ukraine and Austria will meet, ie Northern Macedonia and the Netherlands.
