Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 race for the French Grand Prix today and increased his advantage in the general classification to 12 points.

On the “Paul Ricard” track, Verstappen went around the lap of Luis Hamilton from Mercedes and achieved the 13th victory in his career. Thanks to a great ride, but also good tactics of the Red Bull, the Dutchman managed to beat Hamilton and increase his advantage over the seven-time world champion to 12 points.

He also won an extra point today for the fastest lap of the race.

The third place was taken by the driver of Red Bull, Sergio Perez, and the fourth was Valteri Botas from Mercedes.

McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricardo took the fifth and sixth place, Pierre Gasley from the Alfa Tauri team was seventh, and Fernando Alonso from the Alpin team was eighth.

Aston Martin drivers Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll took the ninth and 10th place.

The next race in the championship will take place next week in Austria.
