Napoli football player Viktor Osimhen will undergo facial surgery on Tuesday, after he suffered multiple fractures of the eye socket and the left cheekbone during the championship match against Inter.

Osimhen was injured on Sunday night in an air duel with Inter player Milan Skrinjar, in the game in Milan at San Siro, where the home team won 3: 2.

The Nigerian attacker remained under observation at the Milan hospital last night, and the operation is scheduled for Tuesday, Napoli announced.
The club did not state how long Osimochen will be absent, and the Italian media stated that he will be out of the field for at least a month. That would mean he won’t be back until the end of the year.

He should play for Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations, from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon.
