The president of the AFA, Claudio Tapia, along with Walter Samuel and Luis Martín, members of Lionel Scaloni’s coaching staff, toured the possible training center of the Argentine national team in Qatar on Wednesday.

The delegation visited the Aspire Academy facilities in Doha, Qatar, in the first official activity since arriving in the host country for the next World Cup.

Tapia traveled with Samuel, one of Scaloni’s assistants, and the physical trainer Luis Martín to close the training center that the team will use during the Qatar World Cup.

The envoys also “participated in a technical meeting with FIFA to schedule other visits in the coming days,” reported from the AFA.

Before traveling, “Chiqui” Tapia said that the main objective of the trip was to find a place that meets “closeness and comfort.”

“Here in Qatar, we began with the tour and inspection of the available properties for what will be the Argentine concentration,” the president wrote.

“Always looking for excellence, convenience and comfort for the development of the High performance that our Selection deserves,” he detailed on his Twitter.

In addition, the photos showed the playing fields in which Argentina will train in the World Cup, which will have him as the protagonist and possibly as the seed of his area.

The Argentine team achieved qualification for the World Cup in Qatar five dates before the end of the South American qualifiers and is one of the 13 of the 32 participants who have already secured their ticket.
