Douglas de Silva, a former Hapoel Tel Aviv star and one of the best foreign brakemen to come to Israel, will soon return to the pitches after two years without a team, after signing today (Thursday) in the uniform of Guarani de Paliosa from the second league of Santa Katrina district.

As mentioned, the 37-year-old Da Silva has not recorded an official game in the last two years, when the last time he was part of a football club it was in the ranks of Brosca from the second Braziliro. “Divorced to return to play. After two years out of football I got this great opportunity from Guarani, where I was very well received and treated the best. I want us to have a successful season with a strong and very competitive team that will develop every week” he said after the signing.

Da Silva played seven seasons in Israel, first in the Hapoel Kfar Saba uniform and then in the Hapoel Tel Aviv uniform, with which he won a double at the end of the 2009/10 season and even played a significant part in the Reds’ Champions League games.
