However, at the beginning of the second quarter, the red and whites returned to the game with a good defense and used the “empty minutes” of Barcelona, ​​which scored the first points in that part of the game after more than four minutes from the free throw line.

Led by Mitrovic, Zvezda first equalized at 20:20, and after the first three in the match, which was achieved by Walters, they took the lead for the first time at 23:22. Until the halftime, the basket was practically played and the guests went to the big break with an advantage of 34:31.

Thanks to a good shot for three points at the end of the third section, Barcelona had a 12-point advantage (61:49), but Dejan Radonjić’s team did not give up.

Three and a half minutes before the end, after Kalinic’s point, the Red and Whites were four points behind (67:63), and after Stefan Markovic’s triple, at the entrance to the last two minutes of the match, and minus three (71:68), but they also failed to reverse the result.

The Red Star basketball players will meet Bayern Munich in the next round, on Friday, while Barcelona will play against Panathinaikos.
