Barcelona and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero has retired from football following heart rate problems

One of the world’s greatest football stars, Sergio Aguero, shed tears at a press conference: “My health comes first. On the advice of doctors I have to announce that I am retiring from professional football and leaving Barcelona”

The striker arrived in Barcelona this summer after a decade at Manchester City and was due to collaborate with his Argentine team-mate Leo Messi. But the latter left Barcelona dramatically, and after about three months Aguero was diagnosed with heart rhythm problems and is now forced to retire

Aguero has won five championships with Manchester City during his career, the most memorable of which is the one during which he scored the winning goal in the last game of the season deep within the extra time of the last round.
