After a four-month hiatus due to a foot injury, Rafael Nadal recently competed in the Abu Dhabi tournament. “In both Kuwait and Abu Dhabi we were checked every two days and all tests were negative,” wrote the 35-year-old.
Another PCR test was carried out on his return to Spain. Nadal tested positive for COVID. “I am now in quarantine and have shared the result with everyone who had contact with me.”
“As a consequence of the situation, I have to be completely flexible with my calendar and I will analyze my options as I develop,” said Nadal. He wants to “keep the public informed of all decisions regarding my future tournaments!”
Nadal thanked for the support and understanding.
