Since Marcel Hirscher’s resignation in 2019, his father Ferdinand has worked as a coach in the men’s giant slalom team for the ÖSV.
Together with group trainer Michael Pircher, he was able to make his extensive know-how and experience available to the team. At his own request, Ferdinand Hirscher has now ended his employment relationship with the ÖSV on the best of terms in order to devote himself to new challenges in the future.
“Ferdl has the eye to see the essential things and that is exactly the gift that makes a good coach. He plays a major role in our giant slalom men finding their way back into the international market,” said ÖSV sporting director Toni thanks Giger for the cooperation.
