Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal advanced to the semifinals of the Australian Open in Melbourne today, after he defeated the 14th player in the world, Canadian Denis Shapovalov, after five sets, 6: 3, 6: 4, 4: 6, 3: 6, 6: 3.
The fifth tennis player in the world won after four hours and eight minutes. He made 11 double service errors, the most in his career in one match. Shapovalov had 20 aces and five double service errors.
Nadal made a break in the first two sets, in the fourth and seventh games, respectively, and took the lead with 2: 0.
Shapovalov fought back, he made a break in the third and fourth sets and equalized at 2: 2.
At the end of the fourth set, Nadal asked for help due to problems with his abdominal muscles, which made it a little harder for him to move. He took the pills and continued the match.
