Swiss tennis player Roger Federer advanced to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon tonight, after he defeated Italian Lorenzo Sonega in three sets 7: 5, 6: 4, 6: 2.

The eighth tennis player in the world won the 27th on the ATP list after two hours and 13 minutes of play.

In the quarterfinals, Federer will play against the better player from the duel between the Polish Hubert Hurkac and the Russian Danilo Medvedev, whose match was interrupted due to rain with the result 2: 1 for Medvedev.
