Italian tennis player Mateo Beretini advanced to the finals of a Grand Slam tournament today for the first time in his career, after he defeated the 18th Polish tennis player Hubert Hurkac in the semifinals of London’s Wimbledon after four sets, 6: 3, 6: 0, 6: 7, 6: 4. The ninth tennis player in the world won after two hours and 37 minutes.

Beretini started the match well, in the first two sets he took the service away from the opponent five times and in less than an hour he took the lead in the match.

There was no break in the third set and a tie-break was played, which Hurkac won with 7: 3.

The Italian took the service away from Hurkac in the first game of the fourth set, he kept the advantage of the break until the end and for the first time in his career he placed in the finals of a Grand Slam tournament.

In the final on Sunday, Beretini will play against the better player from the duel between the trophy defender of Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic and the Canadian Denis Shapovalov, whose match starts a little later.
