Former scout Man died in prison.  Cityja: The judge told him that he was the reincarnation of the devil

Barry Bennell former scout of Manchester City and coach of the English lower league Crewe, died at the age of 70 in the British prison Littlehey.

– Prisoner Barry Bennell died at Littlehey on 16 September 2023. His death will be investigated – they announced in a press release from the prison where he spent the last five years of his life.

Bennell was a long-time Manchester City scout and youth coach. He did his job solidly, but for years he hid a dark secret that horrified many.

He sexually abused the boys he coached in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s for years. English justice put an end to the deranged bully only in 2018, when he was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of 52 sexual offenses against 12 boys. At the reading of the verdict, the judge said that he is the ‘reincarnation of the devil’.

In prison, he was often the target of attacks due to pedophilia, so he was under special surveillance by guards.
