Although most of the attention in Europe is devoted to Euro 2020, which is just around the corner, there is also quite a bit of news and updates in the club football sector. As every summer, the cucumber market continues to make headlines and it is possible that today (Thursday) one of the big deals of the current transfer window closed.
According to Sky reporter Fabrizio Romano, Gideon Sancho may very soon make the move from Dortmund to Manchester United. As you may recall, last week it was reported that the Red Devils had renewed contacts with the player, and according to Romano, today they reached an agreement with the English winger that they will add him to the team’s contract until 2026, and that official negotiations have opened with the German luxury club.
If the transfer goes through, United are expected to pay no less than 95 million euros for the young talent. It is important to note that an agreement has not yet been reached between the clubs and that the deal is under a heavy veil of secrecy in order not to publish erroneous messages.
The 21-year-old Sancho made 38 appearances in all competitions this season in the Dortmund uniform, during which he scored 16 goals (eight in the Bundesliga, two in the Champions League and another six in the Cup) and cooked up 20 more. He has been playing for Schwarzgelben since the 2017/18 season and he holds a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Manchester United reached an agreement with Sancho’s camp on personal terms until 2026. Jadon is not creating any problem. 🔴 #MUFC
