From bombs in Ukraine to the sun of Italy. The journey of hope but also of salvation for a dozen Ukrainian synchronettes ended today shortly after 12 at the federal Italian swimming center in Ostia. After a long journey that started in Lviv with yesterday’s stop in Budapest, the first group of swimmers of the Ukrainian national team arrived in Italy.

To welcome the Ukrainian athletes and their coaches, who traveled all night aboard a bus from Budapest, some blues from synchro, from Costanza Ferro to Giorgio Minisini.

A particularly touching welcome. The Ukrainian synchers, tired, moved but also happy, were given a bouquet of mimosas as it is ‘Women’s Day’ today. Organizing the arrival in Italy of the young champions of Ukrainian synchronized swimming was the Italian Swimming Federation and the president Paolo Barelli who made the federal means available.

Upon arrival of the bus at the federal center of Ostia also the technicians of the Italian synchro and the undersecretary for sport, Valentina Vezzali. Arrived in Italy today, the world and European champion Veronika Hryshko, the continental champion Olesia Derevianchenko, the European youth medalists Anhelina Ovchynnikova, Anastasiia Soldatenkova, Valeriya Tyshchenko (17 years) and Anastasiia Shmonina (16 years), as well as the champions national Amelia Volynska (16 years) and Daria Moshynska (14 years).
