Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov is the first finalist of the Olympic tournament in Tokyo, as he defeated the Spaniard Pablo Karen Bust in the semifinals today with 6: 3, 6: 3.

Khachanov reached the victory after an hour and 20 minutes of the game and thus secured Russia a new medal at the Games in Tokyo.

He took the service away from the rival twice in the first set, while one break was enough for him in the second.

Khachanov will fight for gold in Tokyo with the winner of the second semifinal, in which the best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, and the German Alexander Zverev will meet.
