Austrian skier Katharina Liensberger is the winner of today’s slalom, which was run as part of the World Cup in Ore, Sweden. Linsberger won 1: 46.18 minutes.
Norwegian Mina First Holtman won the second place with 0.16 seconds behind, while Michelle Gisin from Switzerland climbed to the third step of the winner’s podium, which was 0.23 seconds slower than the winner.
Slovakia’s Petra Vlhova was two hundredths of a second slower and took fourth place, Germany’s Lena Deere, who was first after the first run, was fifth in the end, while American Mikaela Shifrin finished ninth.
This was the first slalom race of the World Cup without Vlhova or Shifrin on the podium since January 2016.
Vlhova has already secured a small Crystal Globe in slalom, while in the general classification of the World Cup she reduced the gap behind the leader Shifrin to only 56 points before the finals of the season in Courchevel and Meribel (four races).
