On Monday, Peter Sørensen was fired as head coach after just half a season in relegation-threatened Vejle Boldklub, and already on Tuesday, the replacement is expected in place.
And Vejle fans can well pack Petrescu, Gâlcă and other prominent names away.
According to Ekstra Bladet’s information, Vejle is close to landing an agreement with the just 34-year-old Croatian Ivan Prelec, who is currently without a job. The Croatian has been out of work since April 2021.
However, the final details between the parties are still missing.
Ivan Prelec has most recently been the head coach of Dinamo Zagreb’s second team, and before that the coach was one season at NK Istra in the best, Croatian row.
According to Ekstra Bladet’s information, Andrew Zolotko has seen himself hot on the Croatian this spring, and thus it has only been a matter of time before Peter Sørensen was past at the club.
After the poor performance in Viborg, Zolotko was given the opportunity to press the panic button.
Ivan Prelec is considered a man for the future, and Vejle is working on a long-term agreement, which thus extends both into the expected season in the 1st division and beyond.
